Former Premier League midfielder Don Hutchison has launched a scathing attack on Gary Neville's approach as a football pundit, describing him as 'The Oracle' and accusing him of dominating debates without leaving room for others.
Hutchison's Criticism
Speaking to BestBettingSites, Hutchison said: 'The thing with Gary Neville is he's got an opinion, and he's got a strong opinion, but he doesn't let anyone else in on the opinion. He doesn't let anyone else in on the debate.' He added: 'The Oracle thinks when he says something, it's got to be - that's it. That's the truth there. He doesn't leave anything for anyone else to debate footy.'
Neville's Punditry Career
Neville, 51, has been a pundit for Sky Sports for 15 years after retiring from professional football in 2011. He spent over two decades as a player at Manchester United, winning 13 Premier League titles under Sir Alex Ferguson. His first appearance as a pundit came on Monday Night Football in August 2011, covering Manchester City's 4-0 win over Swansea City. Since then, he has become one of England's leading pundits, appearing on Sky, ITV, and running his own YouTube channel The Overlap, which has over 1.6 million subscribers.
Neville has often faced accusations of bias when commentating on Manchester United matches. Despite the criticism, he remains Sky's lead co-commentator for high-profile Premier League games and regularly appears on Monday Night Football alongside former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher.
Upcoming Appearance
Neville is set to provide co-commentary for West Ham's crucial Premier League match against Arsenal on Sunday, alongside commentator Peter Drury.
Sky Sports continues to be a major broadcaster of live football, offering extensive coverage of the Premier League, EFL, Formula 1, darts, and golf.
