An investigation is underway after a woman was found dead in the back of her car on Sunday, June 14. Police were called to the scene outside the Dairyground shops on Dairyground Road in Brinnington, Stockport.
Police and Forensics at the Scene
Witnesses reported that a blue forensic tent was erected at the scene, along with a cordon. Officers remained at the location throughout the evening following the discovery. Ambulances were also in attendance as detectives worked near the parade of shops at the junction with Plymouth Drive.
Circumstances of the Discovery
It is understood that officers were called due to concerns for a woman in the back of a vehicle. Upon arrival, she was confirmed deceased. An investigation into the circumstances is currently ongoing, but authorities have stated that the death is not being treated as suspicious.
