An inquest opening into the death of 18-year-old Tallulah Bradford has revealed that she was clinging to the side of a moving vehicle before falling and being run over in an Essex park. The hearing took place on July 16 at Chelmsford Coroners Court.
Incident Details
Tallulah Bradford lost her life following an incident in Chalkwell Park, Westcliff, on Saturday, June 13. Emergency services were called to the area after reports that a group had unlawfully taken control of a small articulated loading vehicle. According to the inquest, Tallulah was clinging to the side of the moving vehicle, then fell and was run over.
Emergency services rushed her to Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, where she died on the evening of June 19. The provisional cause of death was traumatic head injuries.
Police Investigation
Essex Police confirmed that investigations are ongoing. An 18-year-old man from Westcliff and a 17-year-old boy have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain on bail until September. The police urged witnesses to come forward, stating: "We know there were a large number of young people in the area at the time, and we believe some may have witnessed what happened. We need anyone who has information and who we've not already spoken with to come forward."
They added: "If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us. Please quote incident 39 of 13 June."
