Russell Brand Humiliated on Arrival at Prison After Guilty Verdict

Russell Brand was subjected to an immediate humiliation the moment he entered prison after being found guilty of rape and sexual assault, according to reports. The disgraced comedian is due to be sentenced on Monday and faces a lengthy custodial sentence.

Following the verdict on Thursday, Brand was taken to HMP Wandsworth, and various reports already indicate the 51-year-old is having a torrid time behind bars.

Reported Fear and First-Night Ordeal

The Sun reported that Brand is "petrified", with a source detailing the immediate humiliation he would have faced upon entering the prison. They said: "The first night for anyone in a jail is really daunting – and Brand was petrified."

The source added: "It will be a massive shock to the system to him and he will be monitored around the clock. All prisoners have to strip off in reception, which is humiliating and a real wake-up call."

Prison Conditions and Chants

The source continued: "He will be in prison-issue clothes and given a first-night pack, which will be a world away from what he is used to. All his cockiness will disappear as he takes in his new surroundings. But he will be relatively safe and watched around the clock by officers and banged up away from other inmates to start with."

The source also noted: "Brand will be in London until and after his sentencing but is then likely to be moved somewhere that specialises in sex offenders where he is more out of harm's way."

Meanwhile, the Mail on Sunday reports that prisoners are already chanting at Brand following his arrival. It is claimed they are singing: "There's a Brand new n***e on the wing! A Brand new n***e. Brand, you c***, you ain't so f***ing lairy now."

Further Police Investigation

Police confirmed on Thursday that Brand is being investigated over rape allegations made by two more women. Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley added: "I clearly wouldn't be surprised if many more came forward."
