Police have named and pictured two men they want to speak to following a fatal stabbing in east London. Elijah Seriki, 23, was found with stab wounds on Andre Street, Hackney at around 1.40pm on Monday July 13, and died a short time later.
Forensic Evidence Gathered at Scene
A forensics tent was erected at the Hackney Downs Road entrance overnight, while investigators were seen gathering evidence in the park and surrounding streets the following day. Mayor of Hackney Zoe Garbett called the death “shocking and saddening,” adding: “We know that our residents will be worried and upset, and we are offering our support to those affected by this incident. Our teams are ready to provide assistance to the police in their investigation as needed.”
Suspects Identified
The Met have confirmed that they would like to speak to Cavalli Harriott, 22, and Jayqwan Stevens-Burke, 23, as part of their enquiries. The force said that the pair are both from Hackney, with Mr Burke also frequenting Grays, in Essex.
