Police have launched a manhunt after a mother and her two children were discovered dead at a property in Great Denham, Bedfordshire. Bedfordshire Police confirmed that a suspect known to the victims is believed to have fled the United Kingdom.
Discovery and Police Response
Emergency services were called to the scene on Wednesday afternoon. The bodies of the woman, aged in her 30s, and her two children, a boy and a girl, were found inside the home. Police have not yet released their identities but stated that next of kin have been informed.
Detective Superintendent Liz Mead said: “This is a tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the family and friends of those who have lost their lives. We are working tirelessly to locate the suspect, who is believed to have left the country. We are cooperating with international partners to apprehend him.”

The suspect, described as a man known to the victims, is thought to have traveled abroad shortly after the incident. Bedfordshire Police have not disclosed his identity but have urged anyone with information to come forward. A cordon remains in place around the property as forensic teams conduct their examination.
Neighbors expressed shock at the news. One resident, who asked not to be named, said: “It’s a quiet area, and we never expected something like this to happen. The family kept to themselves. It’s heartbreaking.”
