An investigation is underway after a man in his 30s was discovered dead on a street in Kirkby, Merseyside. Police were called to Kersey Road at approximately 12:50 PM on Saturday, June 27, following a report from the North West Ambulance Service. The man's death is currently being treated as unexplained, and a cordon has been established on Kersey Road and parts of Broad Lane.

Merseyside Police have deployed forensic teams inside the cordon, and detectives are conducting CCTV and witness inquiries. Officers are guarding the entrances to the cordon and preventing residents from returning to their homes while the investigation continues.
An eyewitness told the Liverpool ECHO that a friend had found the man lying in the street with facial injuries and without shoes. Another witness, who lives nearby, reported seeing a man on the floor.
