A Liverpool man accused of killing a father has been charged with murder and is due to appear in court. Ivan Takev, 38, died following a disturbance at a house in Trent Vale, Stoke, in March last year.
Incident Details
Emergency services were called to a property on Lymebrook Place, where father-of-one Ivan Takev was pronounced dead. His widow told the Stoke Sentinel that Ivan had only recently moved to the UK for work to support his family back in Bulgaria.
Court Appearance
Charles Lewis, 47, from Liverpool, appeared at North Staffordshire Justice Centre via videolink on June 10. He was remanded in custody ahead of a planned hearing at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on August 24.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: “Specialist officers are continuing to support Ivan’s family.”
