Kris Jenner has obtained a restraining order shielding herself and all six of her children from a man she accuses of being a stalker. The 70-year-old matriarch submitted the request on Friday, pleading for protection for herself, her daughters Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Kendall Jenner, as well as her son Rob Kardashian.
Details of the Alleged Stalking
In court documents obtained by the Daily Mail, Kris claimed that Kyle Robert DeWick, 40, attempted to visit Kylie at her home multiple times in 2021. He was repeatedly turned away by her security guards until he was finally arrested on his fifth attempt. Kris also accused DeWick of deluding himself into believing that she had been communicating with him and encouraging him to propose to Kylie, before allegedly interfering in their supposed relationship.
According to Kris, DeWick recently relaunched his bid to get close to the family by trying to contact their neighbors, looking into residences for sale nearby, and even touring a property within a mile of the Kardashian-Jenner homes. Claiming she had been informed that DeWick has a criminal history, including a violent assault, a terrified Kris requested a restraining order on Friday morning. A judge granted the order less than three hours later.
Terms of the Restraining Order
Under the terms of the restraining order, DeWick is barred from contacting the family directly or indirectly and must stay at least 100 yards away from them, their homes, their workplaces, and their cars. The Daily Mail has contacted the family's representatives for comment.
In her declaration, Kris stated that DeWick's attempts to involve himself with her family date back to 2021, when he repeatedly tried to see Kylie at home. Although he was asked to leave by security, he allegedly persisted until he was arrested for trespassing on his fifth attempt. Kris maintained she had been informed that DeWick imagined in 2021 that she had sent him messages acknowledging his love for Kylie and encouraging him to propose. She denied having any relationship with DeWick, stating, "I certainly would never tell a stranger to go to my daughter's home."
Recent Developments and Legal History
Kris claimed in her request that DeWick filed a federal petition in 2024 demanding access to the Kardashian-Jenners and accusing her, Kylie, Kendall, and Kim of surveilling him and interfering with his imagined relationship with Kylie. Although Kris repudiated any charge of surveillance, she added that his claims and anger are extremely concerning and that she is suffering severe emotional distress and anxiety.
Kris accused DeWick of attempting twice in recent months to get close to the family by communicating with realtors about homes for sale either by her family or near her family. She leveled further allegations that DeWick gained access to her community and toured a home within a mile of her home and her children's homes, and that he made efforts to contact her family's neighbors. Pointing out his purported criminal history and claiming he repeatedly traveled from Colorado to California to gain access to them, Kris professed herself terrified of what DeWick might do.
Security Team's Declaration
Her filing included a declaration from John Romero, director of investigations at the private security firm Kris has enlisted for personal protection. Romero claimed DeWick toured a property adjacent to Kim's home—specifically, a house once owned by her third ex-husband Kanye West. DeWick made pointed inquiries about the neighbors and insisted on meeting them before making an offer, raising the seller's suspicions, leading them to contact Romero's company. Romero also alleged DeWick contacted a realtor about a property Kylie was selling, only to submit a proof of funds document the realtor suspected was fake.
According to Romero's declaration, he spoke to DeWick on the phone and ascertained that the alleged stalker believes one of the Kardashian-Jenners—whom Romero deduced to be Kylie—is in love with him and has been pursuing him for years. Romero also investigated DeWick's legal history and unearthed news sources indicating he once broke into a residence and assaulted a sleeping 21-year-old man with a bedside lamp. A 2011 report in an upstate New York newspaper called The Leader details just such a crime committed by a man named Kyle R. DeWick, whose age matches that of the supposed stalker.
Federal Petition Exhibit
One of the exhibits enclosed in Kris' legal filing was what she characterized as a copy of the federal petition DeWick submitted against her in 2024. The document supposedly by DeWick states: "I was encouraged to fall in love with someone who publicly stated they agreed, who still publicly states they are in love with me, but chose to impregnate themselves without me, as an affront, further complicating the public perception and protections provided to me as an individual."
