Frankie Valli, 92, Cancels 2026 Tour for Health

Legendary singer Frankie Valli has canceled his remaining 2026 concert dates to focus on his health. The 92-year-old frontman of The Four Seasons announced his decision to step away from his Last Encores farewell tour in a statement posted to Instagram on Friday, assuring fans that he plans to continue the tour when he is back on the mend.

'I am so sorry to disappoint the folks who have purchased tickets to my shows, but I have decided to take the rest of the year off from touring to focus on my health,' Valli wrote. 'I am looking forward to getting healthy and seeing you all again soon. Thank you for all your good wishes.'

His representative, Victoria Varela, told Variety the music icon opted to cancel the shows – as opposed to postponing them – because he wanted fans to recoup what they spent on tickets. 'Promoters want to prolong things and not give people their money back, but he needs to not keep rescheduling these shows,' the rep said. 'He realized he needed to take a break and get his health in order, and that is the true issue – he wants to get better without prolonging, through the rescheduling process, the pain of people who have bought these tickets.'

The news comes two years after videos of Valli looking frail and tired on stage went viral. During a performance with his band, the singer appeared to be unstable on his feet and messed up lyrics while some observers believed he was lip syncing. Fans commented that Valli should get some rest while others worried he looked exhausted.

However, Valli responded to the buzz, saying he was okay and no one was 'forcing' him to perform. 'I know there has been a lot of stuff on the internet about me lately so I wanted to clear the air,' Frankie told People at the time. 'I am blessed to be 90 years old and still be doing what I love to do and as long as I am able, and audiences want to come see me, I am going to be out there performing as I always. I absolutely love what I do. And I know we put on a great show because our fans are still coming out in force and the show still rocks.'

Valli, who wed Jackie Jacobs in a private Las Vegas ceremony in June 2023, continued to tell the outlet: 'How do we do the show?! The Four Seasons sound was always about layering vocals and instruments. We use our 60 years of experience so we sound like the records. I sing, I have singers who sing, great arrangements… everything. I get a chuckle from the comments wondering if someone forcing me to go on stage. Nobody has ever made me do anything I did not want to do,' he insisted. 'I plan to be doing shows as long as I can, delivering that great Four Seasons sound. Like that line in Jersey Boys, I am like that bunny on TV, that just keeps going and going and going. Chasing the music.'

Meanwhile, Valli's name was in the news in a different way just weeks ago: officers with the Los Angeles Police Department arrived at his home amid reports a restraining order the star had against son Francesco had been violated. Police had received a report Francesco, 38, had shown up, per TMZ. Francesco's presence breached a restraining order the Grease singer has had in place since 2024 and is extended through next year, according to court records. Francesco had left the scene by the time police arrived at the home of his father, who played the role of crime boss Rusty Millio on The Sopranos. No arrests were made in the incident, police told the outlet.
