German police probe suspected explosive at train station

Police in Germany have evacuated a train station and surrounding buildings after a suspected explosive device was found on the tracks at Treuchtlingen.

Investigation underway

Middle Franconia Police said: "The suspicion of an object suspected to contain explosives could not be dispelled so far. Further investigations by the special forces are required."

The force added: "Currently, as a precautionary measure, some directly affected buildings are being evacuated by emergency response teams."
