Funeral Date Set for 'Sadly Missed' Teenager in School Incident

The funeral of a 15-year-old boy who died following an incident at a school in Leicester has been confirmed.

Funeral Details Announced

Leo Atkin, a pupil at English Martyrs' Catholic School, died on January 22 after an incident at the school. His funeral will take place on February 18, 2025, at 11:00 GMT at St Patrick's Catholic Church in Leicester.

His family described him as a "sadly missed" teenager who was "loved by many."

Family's Tribute

In a statement, his family said: "Leo, you were a much-loved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend to many. You will be sadly missed by all who knew you."

They added: "Rest in peace, our beautiful boy."

Investigation Ongoing

Leicestershire Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious. A file is being prepared for the coroner.

The school has described Leo as a "much-loved member of our school community."
