Corrections to the July 4 Print Edition
The Guardian has published several corrections for the July 4 print edition. In the Quick Cryptic Crossword No 118, the clue for 4 down originally read 'Stoke is strangely apt (3)' but should have been 'stroke is strangely apt (3)'. This error appeared on page 54.
Buckingham Palace Historical Inaccuracy
An article titled 'No place like home' (27 June, p13) incorrectly stated that Queen Victoria and Prince Albert were dismayed by the state of Buckingham Palace when they moved into it in 1837. In fact, Queen Victoria moved into the palace after her ascension in 1837, and she was not married until 1840.
TV Channel Misattribution
The TV shows 'Unacceptable' and 'Suddenly Amish', featured as picks of the day, are on the TLC channel, not Discovery Home & Leisure as stated (4 July, What's On, p4). This error was in print only.
