An inquest opening has heard that a young Ukrainian man was found dead at his home in Cardiff. Ihor Loish, 27, was discovered in the rear garden of his home address in Grangetown.
Details of the inquest
A brief hearing at Pontypridd Coroners' Court on Friday was told that Mr Loish was born in Ukraine but was living in Cardiff at the time of his death. South Wales Police reported his death on August 22, and the 27-year-old was found hanged in the garden of his home. He was subsequently identified by family.
Tributes and fundraiser
A GoFundMe page established by his friends described the 27-year-old as a "much-loved" individual. The fundraiser aims to help his family with the costs involved with the "heartbreaking task of bringing Igor home to Ukraine and arranging his funeral".

Next steps
A post-mortem examination was carried out at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. The pathologist gave a provisional cause of death as pressure on the neck consistent with hanging.
Area coroner Patricia Morgan said it was necessary to open a full inquest because she was satisfied there was reason to suspect Mr Loish's death may have been unnatural. She adjourned the hearing for further investigation to be carried out. The full inquest, which may take place in writing, will be scheduled at a later date.
Ms Morgan passed her condolences to Mr Loish's family and friends.
