A 12-year-old boy has tragically died after police discovered him with serious injuries in Brentwood, prompting detectives to launch a murder investigation. Emergency services were called to Ashwells Road on the evening of Sunday, June 7, where the young boy was found in a critical condition. He was rushed to hospital for immediate treatment but later succumbed to his injuries.
The boy's family and loved ones are being supported by specialist police officers. In connection with the incident, a 15-year-old boy and a 43-year-old man, both believed to be from the Pilgrims Hatch area, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently in custody for questioning.
A cordon remains in place at the scene on Ashwells Road, and multiple police vehicles were observed on the small lane earlier on Monday, June 8. The investigation is in its early stages, and authorities are working diligently to piece together the events leading to the boy's death.
