Boston Jill Ends Romance as Scot Faces Serious Charges

A Boston woman who found love with a Tartan Army footsoldier has ended their romance as the Record reveals her former lover is facing serious criminal charges.

Jill Roberts, 42, met Tommy Morrison, 38, during the World Cup amidst Scotland fans’ takeover of Fenway Park in the US city on June 16. What began as a chance encounter between the American singer and the joiner, from Bonnyrigg, quickly blossomed into a long-distance relationship, with Jillian even booking flights to Scotland to see her new boyfriend at the end of August.

But now, two months after their romance captured hearts online, we can confirm that Tommy appeared in court earlier this year on charges of offences under Solemn Procedure, usually dealt with by trial before a judge and a jury of 15 people. Jill has since revealed she has ended their relationship.

Former Snooker Champion in Court

Former world snooker champion Graeme Dott asked a child he is accused of sexually abusing whether it felt “nice”, a court has heard. The 49-year-old is accused of lewd, indecent and libidinous behaviour towards two primary school age children.

The allegations span between 1993 and 1996 involving a girl, and 2006 to 2010 involving a boy, both in the Glasgow region. Dott has denied the two charges against him. His trial at the High Court in Glasgow got under way on Tuesday, August 18, with the jury hearing evidence from one of Dott’s alleged victims, who gave evidence from behind a screen.

The woman, who is now in her 40s, told the court Dott had sexually abused her on multiple separate occasions while she was a child.

Scot Detained in Croatia

A Scottish man who fled Tenerife after he was slapped with a public health charge has been detained in Croatia. Aiden Campbell was apprehended at Split Saint Jerome Airport on Thursday, July 30. It is understood the 22-year-old from Peterhead was travelling with a group of friends when he was stopped.

Campbell was arrested in Tenerife in September 2024 in connection with a public health charge. The exact details of the charge are not yet known. The Provincial Court of Tenerife issued a warrant for him after he failed to attend a hearing. He was subsequently detained after travelling to Croatia last month. Campbell is set to be moved from Croatia to the Spanish island of Tenerife next month to face trial over the charge.

Rape and Kidnap Thug Terrorised Own Mum

A brute with convictions for rape and abduction left his terrified mum "a prisoner in her own home". Daniel Gallacher, 31, "flew off the handle" after curry sauce spilled from a takeaway meal. His mum, Karen McKay, was so frightened she shut herself in the bathroom.

Last year we told how the grieving family of a young man who took his own life blamed Gallacher and his brother Craig for his death. The evil pair abducted Nathan Dawson in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, in December 2024. They bundled the landscaper into a car and drove him to a remote spot seven miles away before Daniel Gallacher beat him with a wrench. The brothers then drove away, leaving their injured victim to seek help.

Nathan, 20, took his own life in October last year, three weeks before the brothers' trial was to take place. His family said he was terrified at the prospect of giving evidence against them. Daniel Gallacher, previously caged for six years for rape, was jailed for 32 months for abducting and assaulting Nathan. Airdrie Sheriff Court heard he was freed on licence in January this year and within weeks was back in trouble. Gallacher admitted threatening or abusive behaviour towards his mum at her Coatbridge home on February 1.
