Andrew Tate is "very sick" after spending "95 days of confinement in a damp cell," according to his lawyer, who has asked the public to "pray for him."
Andrew and Tristan Tate are currently being held at a federal detention center in Miami, Florida, where they are fighting extradition to the United Kingdom. British prosecutors are seeking their return to face a combined 59 criminal charges, including multiple counts of rape and sex trafficking. Both brothers deny all allegations.
Lawyer's Plea on Social Media
Representing Andrew is lawyer Joe McBride, who today made a plea to Tate's fans, asking them to "pray" for him following claims that he isn't receiving medical treatment inside the prison. He wrote on X: "Andrew is very sick. 95 days of confinement in a damp cell is not good. He asked for medical treatment multiple times. He has received none."
"Medical care is a fundamental human right. If Andrew does not get treatment soon, we will sue FDC Miami into oblivion. Pray for him," McBride added.
Mixed Reactions to the Claim
The post has received a mixed response, with staunch Tate supporters saying they shouldn't wait to sue. One account wrote: "What they have done is effectively kidnap the two brothers knowingly with no evidence right in front of everyone's faces."
Others, however, weren't so sympathetic. One person added: "I worked in multiple prisons for 10 years. Even inmates doing time for murder don't get denied sick call."
Legal Proceedings and Charges
A federal judge in Miami denied the brothers' bail request, ruling that they represent a flight risk and must remain in custody during the proceedings. Andrew Tate faces 42 charges (including multiple counts of rape and indecent images of a child) in the UK, while Tristan Tate faces 17 charges (including rape and sex trafficking) spanning alleged offenses from 2010 to 2017.
As well as the UK case, Romanian prosecutors issued a separate indictment in September 2026 accusing the brothers of trafficking a minor, money laundering and witness tampering. Congressional Democrats have pressed the Trump administration for transparency regarding reports of political intervention or efforts to assist the brothers.
