Alnwick police cordon remains after unexplained death of man in 50s

A police cordon remains in place in Alnwick following the "unexplained death" of a man in his 50s. Several police vehicles are still in the area as investigations continue.

Man found with serious head injuries

Northumbria Police confirmed the man was found with "serious head injuries" in the area on Saturday October 3. The discovery was made at around 7.20am on Saturday.

The man was taken to the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, but died on Sunday. His next-of-kin have been informed.

Appeal for information

Officers are treating the death as "unexplained" and have appealed to the public to come forward with any information. A police presence remains in Cawledge View, Alnwick, as the investigation continues.
