A second teenager has been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 15-year-old boy in Hackney, east London. The victim, Brayan David Saldarriaga, was discovered with multiple stab wounds on the evening of May 25, following reports that a violent altercation at a house party had spilled out onto the street. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but Saldarriaga was pronounced dead at the location.
Charges Filed Against Two Teens
On May 29, a 16-year-old suspect, whose identity is protected due to his age, was charged with murder and possession of a bladed article. He appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court the following day. Now, a 17-year-old, also unnamed for legal reasons, has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon. He is scheduled to appear at Barkingside Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
Ongoing Investigation and Support
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Saldarriaga's next-of-kin are being supported by specially trained officers.
