Police in South Australia have expressed grave fears for the welfare of a 41-year-old woman who has been missing in the remote outback for more than two weeks. Trisha Graf was last seen in the early hours of Friday, December 12, in the Roxby Downs area, approximately 510 kilometres north of Adelaide.
Extensive Search Efforts Renewed
Authorities have renewed and expanded their search efforts after Ms Graf's white 2012 Ford Territory, with the South Australian registration plate S254BCX, was discovered abandoned and undriveable near Blue Dam, east of Andamooka, on December 13. An extensive initial operation involving air, ground, and specialist dive teams failed to locate any trace of the missing woman.
On Monday, police conducted a further aerial search, focusing on an area between Blue Dam and Andamooka, which is about 32 kilometres from Roxby Downs. This expanded the zone already covered by intensive ground searches.
Police Hold Grave Concerns
In an official statement, SA Police said, 'Due to the length of time since Trisha was last seen, police hold grave concerns for her welfare.' The challenging and vast terrain of the outback, combined with the significant time elapsed since her disappearance, has heightened anxieties for her safety.
Ms Graf is from Andamooka. A community page stated she was last seen wearing black pants and a black top, with her hair in a plait away from her face.
Distinguishing Features and Appeal for Information
Trisha Graf has several distinctive markings that may aid in her identification. She is known to have a nose piercing, a lip piercing, and ear piercings. She also has a skull tattoo on her upper right arm and a mermaid tattoo on her lower forearm.
Police are urgently appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone with any information regarding Trisha Graf's current whereabouts or her movements in the lead-up to her disappearance on December 12 is urged to contact Crime Stoppers immediately. Any detail, no matter how small it may seem, could be crucial to the investigation.
