A person has died after being found on the railway tracks at Pyle station in South Wales. Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before midnight on Sunday, 5 July.

Incident details

British Transport Police received reports of a casualty on the tracks at 11:40pm. Paramedics and an air ambulance attended, but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.

A police spokesperson confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious. A file will be prepared for the coroner.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to Pyle railway station at 11.40pm on Sunday (5 July) following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
