Arizona Woman Missing for 32 Years Found Alive

An Arizona woman who vanished without trace at the age of 13 has been found alive 32 years later, authorities have confirmed.

Christina Marie Plante was reported missing in May 1994 from Star Valley, Arizona, after she left her home on foot to go to the stable where her horse was kept and was never seen again.

Her disappearance prompted a large-scale search involving local law enforcement and volunteers, but no leads were found. The case was periodically reopened over the years, but it was the creation of the Gila County Sheriff's Office Cold Case Unit that led to a breakthrough using modern technology.

On Wednesday, the sheriff's office announced that Plante had been located alive, and her identity confirmed. Out of respect for her privacy, no further details will be released.

The sheriff's office said it remains committed to unresolved cases and urged anyone with information on other cold cases to come forward.
