Hans Christian Wolters, the lead prosecutor, confirmed to The Mirror that the location near the Audi factory in Neuwegersleben has become a new focal point for investigators. The site is thought to have been used by Brueckner as a potential storage or operational base.

The grim discovery was made after authorities received a fresh tip-off, prompting a recent search of the derelict property. While Mr. Wolters remained tight-lipped on the specifics of what was found, he emphasised the importance of the find, stating the investigation is "still ongoing and we are still getting new tips and information."
