A 43-year-old man is appearing before Teesside Magistrates' Court facing a charge of attempted child abduction, following reports of an incident in the Grove Hill area of Middlesbrough on Wednesday, August 19.

Charge and court appearance

Terrence Sarjantson, of Carlow Street, Middlesbrough, is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, August 21, to face the attempted child abduction charge.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "Police have charged a 43-year-old man with attempted child abduction following a report of an incident in the Grove Hill area of Middlesbrough on Wednesday, August 19. The man's ethnicity is white northern European (Wales)."
