The family of former New York Giants cornerback Sam Beal is making a desperate public appeal for information, revealing the athlete has been missing for seven months.
A Sister's Heartfelt Plea on Social Media
Essence Zhane, Beal's sister, took to Facebook to share the family's anguish and to ask for support in the search for her brother. "Tomorrow makes it 7 months since we’ve last heard from or seen my brother," she wrote. She explained that the family has exhausted all their own avenues and now urgently needs wider assistance to find answers.
"I'm not here to answer a bunch of why's and how's," Zhane continued. "I just need this to land in the right direction to gain some form of answers or closure." She ended her emotional post with a direct message to Sam: "I’m a Big sister and I need my brother to know that We Love You and miss you and this has been a heavy feeling for months to carry around."
The Disappearance: Last Known Movements
According to his profile on the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs), the 29-year-old was last seen in July 2025. The details state that Beal had dropped his girlfriend off at her house and was supposed to use her car to drive to work.
Instead, he allegedly travelled to Virginia Beach. After speaking to his girlfriend and telling her he would return, he failed to do so. He has not been heard from since that day, initiating a missing person investigation that has now stretched over half a year.
Beal's Background and Career
Sam Beal was a promising talent selected by the New York Giants in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. His professional career, however, was hampered by injuries. He played for the Giants as a cornerback but saw limited time on the field before his time with the team ended.
His sudden and prolonged disappearance has left friends, former teammates, and the sporting community deeply concerned. The case remains open, with authorities and his family urging anyone with information to come forward.
