Ryanair's 2026 Summer Schedule Adds New UK Flight Routes

Ryanair Expands Summer 2026 Schedule with New UK Flight Routes

Ryanair has revealed its summer 2026 flight schedule, introducing six new routes from various UK airports. This expansion comes after the budget airline significantly reduced its winter operations due to ongoing aviation tax disagreements.

New Routes and Increased Frequencies Across the UK

From Glasgow Airport, Ryanair will operate eight routes, including two new connections to London Stansted and Warsaw Modlin. Additionally, the airline plans to increase flight frequencies to popular destinations such as Malaga in Spain and Krakow in Poland.

Jade Kirwan, Ryanair's director of communications, stated: "Ryanair is pleased to launch our summer 2026 schedule at Glasgow, offering eight routes, including two exciting new routes to London Stansted and Warsaw Modlin. We will also operate extra frequencies on two other routes, including the popular holiday hotspot of Malaga and the top city break destination of Krakow. This new schedule provides customers across Scotland with more low-fare choices and regular connections for their summer 2026 getaways."

Leeds Bradford Airport will benefit from two new summer flights to Agadir and Warsaw, alongside increased frequencies on seven existing routes, including Alicante and Faro. Declan Maguire, Leeds Bradford's aviation director, commented: "We are delighted to see the continuation of services to Warsaw and a new route to Agadir, which form part of the continued expansion of Ryanair services at Leeds Bradford Airport."

Additional Route Launches and Record Schedules

Bristol Airport will see a new route to Bari, Italy, added to its summer schedule, which includes 36 routes in total. Rupert Lawrie, Bristol airport's commercial director, said: "It's great news for our customers that Ryanair are launching a new route to the Italian coastal town of Bari, which is sure to become a firm favourite with its beautiful promenade, historic centre, and nearby beaches."

In Poland, Ryanair will operate a record summer schedule from Lublin to six destinations, such as Bergamo, Dublin, Gdansk, London, and a new connection to Trapani-Marsala in Sicily. Similarly, Bournemouth Airport will gain a new flight to Trapani as part of this expansion.

Background on Winter Schedule Reductions

This summer expansion follows Ryanair's decision in December to scale back its winter 2026/2027 schedule, particularly in Belgium, amid an aviation tax dispute. The airline cut one million seats, five aircraft, and 20 routes, representing a 22 percent reduction in service. Ryanair estimated that these cuts would result in a loss of $500 million (£373 million) in investments.

The move highlights the airline's strategic adjustments in response to regulatory challenges, balancing cost pressures with growth opportunities in key markets like the UK.
