Spanish police were forced to board a Ryanair flight from Leeds Bradford to Alicante last Thursday after two members of a British stag party caused chaos on board. The Guardia Civil officers waited on the tarmac as the plane touched down at approximately 7.30pm before storming the aircraft and removing the disruptive passengers.
The two men, reportedly drunk from the moment they boarded, became increasingly rowdy during the two-and-a-half-hour journey, unnerving fellow passengers. The cabin crew alerted authorities ahead of landing, and footage shows one officer wrestling a man while others shouted expletives. A passenger described the scene as "carnage" and noted that everyone was "fed up with them by the end."
A Ryanair spokesperson reiterated the airline's strict zero-tolerance policy towards passenger misconduct, stating: "Ryanair has a strict zero tolerance policy towards passenger misconduct and will continue to take decisive action to combat unruly passenger behaviour, ensuring that all passengers and crew travel in a respectful and stress-free environment."
The incident comes just days after another Ryanair flight, travelling from Bournemouth to Girona, was forced into an emergency landing in Toulouse, France, after a man allegedly tried to open an emergency exit door. Witnesses reported a violent struggle as passengers subdued the individual.
