The iconic Red Arrows are back in the sky today, with Brits getting another chance to watch their action-packed air displays this weekend. The legendary Royal Air Force Aerobatic team will perform a series of incredible air exhibits, with thousands set to glimpse the thrill-seeking team. The Red Arrows will soar through the skies of the Midlands on Saturday, with another opportunity to see them in action on Sunday.
Weekend Performances
The daredevil pilots kicked off the summer season on Friday with their first performance at the English Riviera Airshow in Torbay. Now they will take to the skies in Warwickshire later as they put on a show at the Midlands Air Festival, held in Alcester, which last year attracted more than 30,000 people.
They will appear alongside planes from the Second World War, with the AF Falcons, helicopters, and parachute teams also on hand to wow the huge crowds. The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, featuring the Dakota, Spitfire, and Hurricane jets, will also be part of the display.
Flight Path and Timings
The Arrows will take off from East Midlands Airport at 5.48pm and will fly over Whitwick and Rugby on the way to the airshow. You will be able to see them in Lighthorne around 5.56pm and Redditch soon after. After the 20-minute show at the event, the jets will head through Evesham at 6.21pm before zooming over Tredington, Kineton, Clifton Upon Dunsmore, and Breaston. They will return to the airport at just after 6.30pm. But that's not it—they'll be back on Sunday, giving even more people the chance to see the incredible planes in action.
