An electrical failure at a communications centre has caused major disruption to rail services across northern England and the Midlands, with delays and cancellations expected to continue until the end of the day.
Services affected
Northern has advised passengers not to travel, as delays are expected on all routes, including those serving Liverpool Lime Street. Other operators affected include Avanti West Coast, East Midlands Railway, TransPennine Express, and Transport for Wales.
