New Direct Train from Liverpool to Llandudno for Summer

A new direct train service has been introduced between Liverpool Lime Street and Llandudno, offering travellers a seamless journey to the popular Welsh coastal town just in time for the summer holidays. The service, operated by Transport for Wales, eliminates the need for passengers to change trains at Chester, providing a more convenient and efficient travel option.

Major Timetable Change

Transport for Wales implemented a significant timetable change on 17 May, which has substantially increased services and capacity across its network, particularly in North Wales. The North Wales Coast Line has experienced a 50 per cent increase in services, strengthening connections between communities and popular seaside destinations such as Prestatyn and Rhyl.

Additional Improvements

Further enhancements include the introduction of a new 'pay as you go' payment system at 15 stations between Wrexham General and Bidston. Infrastructure upgrades, such as the installation of new footbridges, have also been completed to improve passenger experience.
