Images and eyewitness accounts suggest the incident occurred on a train route near Martin Lane, close to its junction with Whitehouse Lane. The pictures show a Northern train that has stopped abruptly next to green fields.
Several ambulances and a fire engine are visible at the scene, along with multiple people in high-visibility uniforms. The same images appear to show parts of a damaged vehicle near to where the train has stopped.
