A fire broke out aboard the KMP Mutiara Sentosa 2 on Sunday while the ferry was sailing off Madura Island, Indonesia.
Voyage interrupted by blaze
The vessel was travelling from Tanjung Perak Port in Surabaya to Makassar on Sulawesi Island when the captain reported the fire. The ferry was carrying around 250 passengers and crew.
Casualties and missing
The blaze has left at least five people dead, with 41 others unaccounted for.
