M62 Traffic: Huge Queues After Multi-Vehicle Crash

Huge queues are building on the M62 motorway after a multi-vehicle crash on the westbound side at junction 24 for Huddersfield. Emergency services and recovery teams are on the scene.

Delays of 45 Minutes and 4 Miles of Congestion

National Highways reports delays of approximately 45 minutes, with cameras showing extensive queues. In a post on X, they stated: "Traffic is being held on the #M62 westbound at J24 #Huddersfield due to a multiple vehicle collision. Emergency services are on scene. Recovery on scene. There are 45 minute delays and 4 miles of congestion on the approach. More details to follow."

Eastbound Lane Closed Due to Fuel Spillage

One lane is also closed on the eastbound side of the motorway at junction 25 for Brighouse due to a fuel spillage, causing slow traffic. According to traffic alert service Inrix, this is resulting in "very slow traffic".
