The crash occurred between junctions 25 (Brinnington) and 24 (Denton Island), with congestion reported back towards Stockport. The incident was first reported shortly before 3pm.

A National Highways spokesperson said: "Traffic is currently being held on the M60 anticlockwise near Denton between J25 and J24 due to a multi vehicle collision. Current delays of 30 mins and 3 miles of congestion on the approach."
