All traffic is being held on the M60 motorway in Greater Manchester following a multi-vehicle crash on Tuesday, August 4. The incident occurred on the anticlockwise carriageway between Junction 25 (Brinnington) and Junction 24 (Denton Island).
Delays and congestion
Photographs show major delays building, with congestion reported back towards Stockport. The crash was first reported shortly before 3pm.
A National Highways spokesperson said: "Traffic is currently being held on the M60 anticlockwise near Denton between J25 and J24 due to a multi vehicle collision. Current delays of 30 mins and 3 miles of congestion on the approach."
Traffic update
An update from traffic service Inrix said: "All traffic being temporarily held and queueing traffic due to accident on M60 anticlockwise between J25 A560 Crookilley Way (Brinnington) and J24 M57 (Denton Island). Congestion to J1 (Stockport Pyramid)."
