The family of Saskia Weatherley, a 29-year-old woman who died in a single-car crash on the M2 in Kent on Christmas Eve 2025, have paid tribute to her as 'amazing, kind and beautiful'. She was returning from a last-minute shopping trip at Bluewater when her Volkswagen T-Roc overturned after hitting the central reservation near Gillingham at around 12.50pm.
Her mother, Julie Weatherley, described her grief as 'unbearable', saying: 'Losing Saskia has torn a hole in my world, and it doesn’t make sense, life feels unbearable without her.' Her father, Richard, added that he wished he had hugged her for 'five more seconds' before she left their home in Newnham, near Faversham, on Christmas Eve.
Saskia, who held a diploma in fashion design from Ravensbourne University, was working on a range of men’s accessories made from carbon fibre and was building a stable at the family home. Her brother Max said they spent 'every day of my life' together and never argued, adding: 'This world isn’t as good as it used to be because she’s not in our lives every single day anymore.'
Police have confirmed that Saskia’s vehicle did not strike any other cars before hitting the barrier, but her family are still awaiting full details and are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or saw her car beforehand to call the police appeal line on 01622 798538, quoting reference BS/AW/092/25.
