The M1 in Northamptonshire is closed northbound between junction 16 (for Northampton) and junction 18 (for Rugby) following a serious collision involving two lorries, one of which overturned.
All emergency services, including Northamptonshire Police, are in attendance. Due to the nature of the incident, the road is likely to remain closed throughout the night.
Diversion in place
A diversion route is in operation, and southbound lanes are also closed to allow emergency services access.
