A Jet2 flight heading to Spain from Liverpool has reportedly declared an emergency near Manchester, according to the real-time aviation alert service Squawk.
The Boeing 737-800, operating from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Palma de Mallorca Airport, issued a 7700 general emergency alert, as posted by Squawk on X.
Flight path and diversion
The emergency signal was declared at 12,875 feet on its flight path near Manchester. According to Flightradar24, the 8:00am flight changed direction as it flew near Shrewsbury before heading back towards Liverpool.
