A Jet2 flight from Liverpool John Lennon Airport reportedly declared an emergency near Manchester on Thursday morning, according to real-time aviation alert service Squawk.
The flight, which was heading to Palma de Mallorca Airport, issued a 7700 general emergency alert while flying at 12,875 feet. Squawk posted on X that the Boeing 737-800 was squawking the emergency code.
Flight path changed
Flightradar24 data shows the 8am flight changed direction near Shrewsbury, turning back towards Liverpool before appearing to head towards Manchester Airport.
