The Elizabeth line has been partly suspended due to trespassers on the track. No trains are running between Whitechapel and Shenfield because of trespassers in the Chadwell Heath area, according to TfL.
National Rail says Greater Anglia trains are also disrupted. The incident is expected to cause major disruption well into Friday afternoon.
Disruption on the Elizabeth line
A number of trains have been cancelled or are facing disruption due to a trespass incident at Chadwell Heath in east London. The Elizabeth line is also part suspended between Whitechapel and Shenfield.
Commuters are advised to check their journey before travelling as delays are likely to continue.
Earlier crash at Dartford Crossing
The trespass incident comes after a crash partly blocked the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge at the Dartford Crossing, causing rush-hour delays for drivers on the M25. The bridge was partially blocked this morning but has now reopened, although traffic remains slow on the approach.
A second incident was reported on the A2 westbound from B255 to the M25 at junction 2. Live traffic cameras showed traffic building on the M25 as hundreds of motorists attempted to make their way in and out of London this morning.
Traffic easing
Traffic on the M25 is now looking to ease, according to live cameras. The queues and traffic jams on the busy motorway this morning have cleared as rush-hour draws to a close. Motorists should still expect disruption on the approach to the crossing.
