EasyJet passengers attending weddings may be exempt from standard cabin baggage size restrictions, according to the airline's guidelines. The policy allows wedding outfits to be carried in garment bags that do not need to meet usual dimensions, as long as they can be folded and stored in overhead lockers.
The airline states that a large cabin bag allowance is required, which is included with EasyJet Plus, Inclusive Plus, and Smart+ fares, or can be purchased separately. Alternatively, passengers can buy a specific wedding travel box or check the outfit into the hold.
Similar provisions apply to suit carriers. Passengers can bring a suit carrier on board provided they have a large cabin bag allowance, and the carrier does not need to meet standard size requirements if it can be stored and folded easily in the overhead locker.
For those recording the event, camera equipment also has relaxed restrictions. Cameras can exceed normal baggage dimensions (maximum 63cm x 27cm x 28cm) but must be stored length-wise in the overhead locker and not under the seat. Lithium batteries must be easily removable.
All passengers are entitled to one small under-seat cabin bag free of charge. Full details are available on the EasyJet website.
