Cyprus Airways to Resume London Flights After 12 Years

Cyprus Airways is set to resume direct flights between London and Larnaca for the first time in over a decade. The carrier will launch daily services on April 23, 2027, connecting London Stansted with the Cypriot coastal city.

The airline last operated regular flights to London in 2015, when it was a state-owned company under different ownership. The route also previously served Stansted airport.

Strong UK-Cyprus Travel Links

Larnaca remains a popular destination for British travellers, known for its sandy coastline, reliable sunshine and well-developed visitor facilities. UK visitors continue to form the island's largest overseas market, accounting for 31.8 per cent of all arrivals in 2025, nearly a third of total tourist numbers.

British passport holders can travel to Cyprus for stays of up to 90 days without a visa.

New Fare Options and Onboard Benefits

Passengers booking with Cyprus Airways can choose the Economy Flex fare, which includes a 10kg cabin bag, a personal item, a 23kg checked suitcase and complimentary seat selection.

The airline's Business Class offers additional perks such as airport lounge access, priority check-in, enhanced onboard service, a 15kg cabin baggage allowance, two checked bags up to 32kg each, free seat selection, fast-track airport services, complimentary meals and priority boarding.
