Center Parcs Unveils New Outdoor Entertainment Space for Summer 2026

Center Parcs has offered a first glimpse of its new open-air entertainment venue, set to debut at the Sherwood Forest holiday resort this summer. The facility, named Forest Summer Social, will open on 25 May and operate until 31 August.

What the Venue Offers

Located in the Woodland Garden area of the park, the space is designed to provide a mix of entertainment, street food, and family-friendly activities. At its core is an outdoor cinema screening popular films such as Mamma Mia, Frozen, The Greatest Showman, and A Minecraft Movie. Guests can book selected showings in advance at an additional cost, which includes a deckchair, popcorn, and a drink, or families may bring their own picnic blanket.

The screen will also broadcast major live sporting events, including the World Cup, Grand Prix, Wimbledon, and the Commonwealth Games, catering to sports enthusiasts.

Food, Drinks, and Activities

Refreshments will be available for purchase from the Summer Social Kitchen, which Center Parcs describes as serving relaxed street food. Drinks will be offered at a bar sponsored by Aspall cider. For children, the Forest Craft Room will provide drop-in creative activities, while the Family Nature Quest encourages exploration of the forest. An interactive experience called “Light Up The Forest” allows guests to power treetop illuminations by pedaling bicycles.

The venue aims to maximize the longer summer days by offering a social hub for guests to enjoy entertainment and connect with nature. This launch follows the announcement of a new Center Parcs in Scotland, expected to open in 2029 after work begins on the £450 million site.
