Cathay Pacific has announced the suspension of all flights to and from Dubai until the end of April 2026, citing the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. The Hong Kong-based airline confirmed the cancellations in a statement, saying the decision was made in view of the developing situation in the region.
Affected passengers travelling between Hong Kong and Dubai up to May 31 are eligible to rebook, reroute, or request a refund without additional fees. Those who booked through a travel agent or third party are advised to contact them directly. The airline said it continues to monitor the situation closely and may make further changes to its flight schedule.
The move follows a similar decision by British Airways, which cancelled flights to Dubai until June as part of a wider overhaul of its UAE schedule. The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) currently advises against all but essential travel to the United Arab Emirates, warning that regional escalation poses significant security risks and has led to travel disruption.
The cancellations come amid heightened tensions in the region, including a drone strike near Dubai International Airport on March 16 that forced flights to be grounded and diverted. Both airlines have stated that the safety of customers and crew remains their top priority.
