British Airways unveils luxury A380 cabin refurbishment

British Airways has revealed the new cabins on its A380 aircraft, part of one of the most extensive refurbishment programmes undertaken by an airline. The renovated cabins, part of a multi-million-pound investment designed to enhance the onboard experience, will take to the skies in the coming months.

New seats and entertainment in every cabin

Customers will experience brand-new seats in every cabin, alongside new in-flight entertainment screens, redesigned galleys, and stairways. The aircraft will also feature the world's largest business class cabin, with 106 Club Suite seats spanning the entire upper deck, finished with new trims and detailing.

Customers in First, World Traveller Plus, and World Traveller will receive new bedding, while specially trained cabin crew will deliver the airline's new dining experience, available in every First cabin across its long-haul fleet.

Dining and amenities upgraded

The new 'From the Grill' concept allows customers to create their preferred meal from a selection of premium proteins, as well as a selection of Signature Mains. A bespoke mini bar has been integrated into the new First seat, including a selection of premium snacks.

British Airways claims the changes have been made to “evoke a modern luxury hotel feel”. Passengers in First will also receive a new pyjama set.

CEO comments on transformation

Sean Doyle, Chairman and CEO at British Airways, said: "This is a major milestone for British Airways and the future of our A380 fleet, marking one of the most significant transformations we’ve ever undertaken on any aircraft.

"We've completely reimagined the customer experience, introducing new and updated seats in every cabin, all carefully considered to deliver greater comfort and an elevated customer experience.

"At the heart of the transformation is our brand-new First suite, but this investment goes far beyond a single cabin. From redesigned interiors and upgraded dining to new amenities and service delivery, every detail has been thoughtfully designed with our customers front and centre, helping them to have a more seamless and memorable experience when they fly with us."
