A TikTok user has shared a simple button combination that can clear a foggy windscreen in just 10 seconds, potentially helping drivers avoid fines and dangerous conditions.
The trick, posted by @chegeceping, involves turning on the air conditioning, switching to external circulation, and setting the air blowing mode to the windscreen. Additionally, activating the rear window defogger is recommended.
According to the RAC, driving with an obscured windscreen is illegal. They advise using air conditioning alongside the heater to keep the interior dry and prevent fogging.
The RAC also suggests cleaning the windscreen with shaving foam to create a protective barrier that reduces misting, a technique used by ice hockey players to prevent mask fogging.
