A mystery EuroMillions winner is being urged to come forward, with just weeks left to claim a £112,000 prize that could otherwise slip away.
The winning EuroMillions ticket was purchased in Powys, Wales on December 12 last year, but so far no one has stepped forward. The deadline to claim the prize is June 10.
With time ticking down, the National Lottery is asking anyone who was in the area around that date—whether residents or visitors passing through—to search old bags, drawers, and coat pockets in case the winning slip is hidden away.
The ticket matched all five main numbers and one Lucky Star. The winning numbers were 7, 25, 30, 37, and 41, with Lucky Star numbers 5 and 11.
Players are given 180 days to come forward and claim their prize. Andy Carter, senior winners' adviser at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said: "With time running out, we're asking anyone who was in Powys in the days leading up to the December 12 draw to stop and think – did you buy a EuroMillions ticket? Whether you live locally, were visiting family, or were just passing through, please check any places you might have stored your pink ticket. We've seen major prizes claimed right up to the last minute, but the clock is ticking for this winner."
If no one claims the winning ticket before the deadline, the prize, along with all interest accrued, will be directed toward National Lottery-funded projects throughout the UK, reports Wales Online.
Anyone with questions or who believes they hold the winning ticket for any National Lottery draw within the 180-day deadline can contact the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 5050.
This comes after two UK ticket-holders each won more than £41 million in the EuroMillions draw on April 21. The winning numbers were 13, 16, 29, 40, and 47, with Lucky Star numbers 3 and 4. Two tickets bought in the UK and one purchased in France matched all seven numbers and shared the jackpot, winning £41,844,862.30 each.
Andy Carter said at the time: "It's been another great night for EuroMillions players as two lucky UK winners have won an incredible share of tonight's £126 million jackpot prize. These lucky ticket-holders join the £181 million jackpot winner from 10 March – another big UK win. Check your tickets and get in touch if you think you might be one of tonight's lucky winners."
