Bamburgh retained the top spot for the sixth consecutive year in the consumer experts' list, but Tynemouth came a close second, scoring 5/5 for its seafront, pier, and food and drink offerings. One visitor praised the 'wonderful fish and chips,' while another highlighted the 'magnificent' golden sand at King Edward's Bay and Longsands beaches.

Paige West, an American content creator living in Tynemouth with her family, named days out in the town as one of the things she'll miss most about the UK as they prepare to move back to the States.
