Location and Nearby Attractions
Walkers can tackle Mynydd-Troed or the Dragon’s Back circular walk, while Llangorse Lake is around four miles away for those wanting to try water sports or explore the area’s history. The popular market towns of Hay-on-Wye, Crickhowell and Brecon are also within driving distance.
The restored barn combines its original character with a contemporary finish, creating a stylish yet cosy base for a Welsh holiday. The open-plan living space brings together the lounge, kitchen and dining area, with a wood burner providing a cosy focal point.
Interior and Eco Features
Upstairs, both bedrooms have king-size beds and retain charming features reflecting the barn’s history. Guests have a luxurious bathroom with a freestanding bath, alongside a separate shower room with a walk-in shower.
Outside, the property has huge gardens, acres of lawns and grassy areas and views across the surrounding countryside. The garden features a unique sunken seating area with a fire pit that provides the perfect place to spend an evening outdoors.
Storm Barn also has impressive eco credentials. Three acres have been rewilded and planted with more than 1,400 native trees, while the property uses a private natural spring, ground-source heat pump and solar panels. Underfloor heating and hot water are also supplied by the heat pump.

One thing to bear in mind before booking is that Storm Barn does not accept dogs.
