Stag Cottage from ITV's Fletchers' Family Farm opens 2027

Stag Cottage, the cosy retreat featured on ITV's Fletchers' Family Farm, has opened its 2027 bookings to the public. The property, located in the Peak District close to Macclesfield and just over an hour's drive from Manchester, is available to book on the Sykes website.

The cottage rose to fame after appearing on the ITV show, which has been on television since 2023. It has been renovated by former ITV Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher and his wife Liz, with help from their four children Marnie, Milo and twin boys Maximus and Mateusz.

A Cosy Peak District Retreat

Set just outside the rural village of Wincle, a short drive south of Sutton in Cheshire, Stag Cottage rests on private farmland and can sleep families of up to six. It features an 'idyllic' rear garden, a private hot tub and a cosy woodburning stove for the colder months.

Visitors can choose from three king-size bedrooms. The property has scored a glowing 'perfect score' award, with very little date availability for the rest of this year. However, dates are available in summer, autumn and winter for 2027.

Exploring the Local Area

For a day out, guests can head east into the Peak District National Park, where Bamford Mill, Peveril Castle and Speedwell Cavern are all waiting to be explored.

Reviews for Stag Cottage have been positive. One visitor said: "Tucked away in what felt like the middle of nowhere with beautiful scenery surrounding us the cottage has been renovated to the highest standard and furnished beyond belief for a holiday let. Everything you could think of has been provided throughout not forgetting the log fired hot tub outside."

Another review read: "Spotlessly clean, very quiet lovely having the animals right next door. The beds are comfortable and the views are great. Would have been helpful to have some local maps for walking and a pint of milk in the fridge, but that’s just personal preference. I would definitely recommend for a luxurious quiet break away."

A third guest said: "We stayed at Stag Cottage for a week and were blown away by the beautiful decor, cleanliness, and spacious layout. The host gave us excellent local restaurants and sightseeing tips, which made our trip even more special. We loved visiting the local villages, especially Chatsworth and Bakewell. The facilities are perfect, and I highly recommend this lovely cottage for a 5-star stay."

Things to Consider Before Booking

At the time of writing, there are no negative reviews for Stag Cottage online, but there are some things to bear in mind. Pets are not allowed at the property, so it may not be a good option for those planning to take dogs.

It is also worth noting that while the cottage sleeps six, it only has three beds. This may work for some families and groups of friends who are happy to share, but for those who prefer their own bed, it may prove an issue. Stag Cottage is open for 2027 bookings on the Sykes website.
